Important Notice for Registered AMSSE v6 Customers

  • Since version 7 has redesigned the licenses and the charge mode, so, you need to know the following things to decide your choice.
  • v7 will import your old data automatically, and we use the different path to store v7 and v6 data, even the program files are stored in the different location. So, don’t worry about losing data.
  • The most important thing is: v6 controls if you can upgrade product version, but the license does not expire, v7 is contrary – controls if your license will expire, but can FREE upgrade product version forever. So, if your old license & upgrades package allow you to upgrade v7, we will transfer your license automatically according to your paid amount and the new price. Here is the detail:
    • Personal license with 1/2 year(s) upgrades: no change.
    • Personal license with lifetime upgrades: transfer to 1.4 years (count from today – Mar 01, 2016, the same below) Personal license. 1.4 = $69.99 / $49.99 (your paid amount / now 1 year license price, the same below).
    • Home license with 1/2 year(s) upgrades: transfer to Business license (the license expiration date is your old upgrades package expiration date).
    • Home license with lifetime upgrades: transfer to 1.2 years Business license. 1.2 = $119.99 / $99.99.
    • Enterprise license with 1/2 year(s) upgrades: transfer to 1.5/1.6 years Enterprise license. 1.5 = $299.99 / $199.99, 1.6 = $319.99 / $199.99.
    • Enterprise license with lifetime upgrades: transfer to 1.75 years Enterprise license. 1.75 = $349.99 / $199.99.
    • As above, this is a big premium – we will count your license expiration date from today – Mar 01, 2016, even you purchased at Jan 01, 2014! That is, we regard as you purchased it today!
    • If your paid amount is not above standard price, we will calculate your license expiration date by your actual payment.
  • If you do not want to transfer your license, you can still use v6, you only need to do the following things after installed v7:
    • Put back the v6 shortcut icon to “Start -> All Programs -> Startup” menu, and delete the new shortcut of v7 under this folder, to ensure automatically running the right version when Windows starts.
    • Tell us you do not want to transfer your license and want to use v6 still, we will change it back to be compatible with v6, just eMail us at support[at]AutoMailSender.com.

    But we strongly recommend that you upgrade to v7. Because v7 has dozens of very very important features / improvements / bug fixes for about 4 years (2012~2016, see below update history).

* I: if your system DPI setting is not default value (96), a few interfaces cannot be opened or flash, even the whole application will crash.
* I: outlook.com cannot display the embedded local images.
* I: if the eMail has not any attachment, but has the embedded image(s), some webmail systems will display the attachment icon in their messages listing, such as Outlook.com, Gmail.
* Cannot drop-down the “Format” and “Tools” menus by accelerator keys (<Alt+?>).

How to send an eCard in AMS Birthday Edition?

Hello everyone,

As you know, AMS Birthday Edition (AMSBE) can send automatic birthday greetings (cards and / or messages).

Maybe some users do not know how to send e card in AMSBE, so we will introduce this now:

1. Use AMSBE Built-in Greeting Cards
a) Click “eMails -> eMail templates manager” module link on the main interfcae.
b) Click <Add> or <Edit> on the toolbar to enter the edit mode.
c) Click <Insert> button, and then select “Built-in greetings cards…” menu item.
d) Select the card as you need, and then click <OK>.

2. eMail Greeting Cards by Using Your Own or Online eCards
a) b) are same as above.
c) Click <Adds image> button on the toolbar of Rich text email editor.
d) Paste the eCard location into [Picture Source] field or simply click <Browse…> button to choose a local eCard, and then click <OK>.

3. Note
a) In point 2nd, the [Picture Source] field supports WEB URL, so you can use an online eCard on the Internet. Sure, you can also download it to your local disk and then select it by <Browse…> button.

A basic and important knowledge about sending ability / limitation and whether the emails can be received by the receivers

Hello everyone,

The sending ability / limitation, and whether the emails can be received by the receivers are relied on your SMTP server and / or SMTP account, our email sender (Auto Mail Sender™ Birthday Edition, Auto Mail Sender™ File Edition and Auto Mail Sender™ Standard Edition) do not control these.

What is sending ability / limitation?
For instance:

  • AA eMail server only allows you to send to 100 recipients at most in an eMail.
  • BB eMail server only allows you to send up to 500 emails in one day.
  • CC eMail server only allows you to send to 200 recipients at most in one day.
  • DD eMail server does not allow you to send two or more emails within 2 minutes.
  • EE eMail server does not allow you to send 20 or more emails within 1 hour.

Why the emails cannot be received by the receivers?
There are some common reasons:

  • Delivered to the spam / junk folder.
  • Rejcected by the eMail server / account.
  • Your SMTP server cannot reach receiver’s email server (network reason, e.g. DNS error).
  • Receiver’s eMail account does not exist.
  • Receiver’s eMail account is disabled or discontinued.
  • Receiver’s mailbox is full.

When email card or send cards/ecard/messages by our emailers (Auto Mail Sender™ Birthday Edition, Auto Mail Sender™ File Edition and Auto Mail Sender™ Standard Edition), you may encounter above failed sendings, at that time, please check if your SMTP server / email account has these limitations, and above reason for receiver’s eMail server and / or eMail account.

Because our email senders 100% do not limit these, for above circumstances, you need to check your SMTP server/account first, and you may need to contact the email service provider or your system administrator.

P.S. the limitations for all licenses of our email senders have already listed on their order pages.

Why are Enterprise licenses more expensive than Commercial licenses in our automatic birthday email sender?

Hello everyone,

As you know, in our automatic birthday email sender – Auto Mail Sender Birthday Edition (AMSBE), compare with the same number of persons (for Enterprise licenses, persons = employees, for Commercial licenses, persons = contacts), Enterprise licenses (EL) are more expensive than Commercial licenses (CL).

For instance:

As above, in our email greeting software – AMSBE, Commercial license (1,000 contacts) with Lifetime upgrades sells for US $119.99, but Enterprise license (1,000 employees) with Lifetime upgrades sells for US $449.99!!

Why??

Because:
EL serves your internal employees, and all your employees will enjoy EL’s service (send free ecards/messages greetings) on their birthdays or some festivals. So, you need to pay EL fee for your company and every employee. As above example, it only costs you $0.45/employee, not expensive 🙂

For another situation – CL: it serves for your external contacts, such as friends, business, schoolmates, etc. They are not your company’s people, so you do not need to pay CL fee for them, so it only costs $0.12/contact in above example, also a reasonable price 🙂

Please note that: CL can also create the internal contacts (under Colleagues category), but it is only used for a few colleagues as usual for below reasons:

  • Calls “Colleagues” not “Employees”.
  • Only stands on the PC (which installed and running AMSBE) owner’s ground, not your company’s ground.
  • It’s hard to organize and manage the “Colleagues” without the “Enterprise structure”, in the EL, you can organize and manage all employees in “Enterprise structure” according to their departments.

Note:
1. This article is also applicable for comparing with the prices of Enterprise licenses and Personal licenses.

* Uses more accurate and stringent method to determine database file is lost or broken.
* Optimized the format of self-recommended words in HTML email, more beautiful and readable.
* eMail templates manager: selected all text for [Subject] field when it got the focus.

>> Bug Fixes
* Important: if the default festival template is not built-in festival template, when preview the default festival template on “Festivals manager” interface, the opened template is not right one.
* The output files of contacts/employees may contain the unreadable system string “BUILTIN_BIRTHDAY_TEMPLATE”.
* The shortcut key of [User] field on “View/upgrade license” interface is invisible.
* The “Middle name” label is not fully displayed on the “Employee editor” interface.
* No shortcut keys for [Gender] field on the “Search employees” interface.
* The interface may flicker if do the batch/frequent operation for the big data list.
* A little disordered <Tab> sequence on “Options -> Preferences” interface.
* Search contacts/employees interfaces: shows improper prompts if selected age condition but have not inputted age.
